Twice this week members of our community have gathered donations that were shipped out to a neighborhood in Staten Island to an underprivileged community in need. Tomorrow afternoon, we'll be getting ready to send out our third shipment. Weight is our only restraint due to postage, so we're asking for that to be considered (no water, canned goods). With more power out and the snow in, heat and lack of it continue to be huge concerns. If you we're in that position and a package was coming, what would you most want to find inside? Those are the things we need.
One of the most common themes in the emails we receive at sandiegooccupy.org is:
"I'm new to San Diego/Occupy SD/activism, etc., but I don't know how to get involved!"
Now you can!

This is an informal report of the GA held Sat, August 25, 2012 . As the group was 8 people to start, we decided to have an informal discussion on the topic of the GA, its purposes and uses, but not to have a moderator, or take notes. At one point the group increased to 16 members, but it continued as an informal discussion.

So it's no secret to Occupy SD that the Trans-Pacific Partnership -- the negotiations for which will be held in San Diego next week -- is a plot among large financial and international banking interests to skirt the laws of various countries, including the United States, under the guise of the warm and fuzzy term, "Free Trade."
